Which of these unimaginable lies did you fall for when growing up

Growing up in a Nigerian home, there were several white lies our parents told us, which at that time we actually believed them to be true.
Which of these unimaginable lies did you fall for when growing up:

1) If you go close to boys, you will be pregnant; when a Nigerian says this, she means it like literally. The girl will only grow up to understand that getting close to a boy is not as literal as she was made to believe.

2) If you sit with boys. you will get pregnant, or if a boy cross your legs, you will get pregnant; A Nigerian mom could tell her daughter  that sitting on a boy's lap or a boy crossing your legs is how babies are made.

3) When a girl has stomach upset and starts to throw up; the first question the mom will ask the daughter is ''when last did you see your period?'' and no matter how unwell the daughter will be, she dare not stutter while answering if not all hell will be break loose! lol.

4) If you swallow a fruit seed e.g star apple, it will germinate on top of your head; when a Nigerian parent tells a child this, the innocent child will just be crying that a seed is going to germinate on top of his or her head.

5) If your teeth breaks and you throw it on the ground, your teeth will not grow again; our mom told us that if your teeth breaks and your throw it on the ground that your teeth will not grow again that you would have thrown it on top of the roof of the house, and the child will be crying throught out that day because his/her teeth will not grow again. lol!

6) Do not listen to boys, they just want what is between your legs; Nigerian mom can swear to their daughters that all a boy wants is to have a bite of what is between your legs.

Of course, there are several other white lies our parents told us, feel free to share your funny experience.
